What is Messy Church?

It’s a sort of Ingham After School Club that runs once a month in Ingham Village Hall. It’s Christian. It’s fun.

We start Messing about immediately after school with a drink and a biscuit.

We choose a Christian theme and the children do loads of activities loosely related to the theme.

For example, when the theme is The Bible one of the activities is to make balloon-powered cars and we talk about how the Bible helps to spread God’s story. Food activities are popular – we might ice biscuits and put on different dolly mixtures and talk about how the Bible has different types of books inside. We Mess about for an hour and then have a brief celebration.

Finally, we feed the children with a simple tea.

All children should be accompanied by an adult.
