Every month about 30 of us meet in Ingham Village Hall, drink coffee, eat cake and chew the fat. We call it Café Church.

It’s not like normal church. Somebody introduces the subject for the session and then it’s over to you. We sit in small groups around tables and chat about the topic. Nobody is allowed to contradict anybody else and no question is too simple or naïve. We talk about life, and God, and the universe.

“It’s great,” said one person. “I get to ask all the questions I’ve always wanted to but never dared!”

We’ve watched short videos, had visitors tell us about their life or work, even sung a bit (one of the most popular sessions was where people chose their favourite hymn, explained why they liked it, and then we sang – a kind of songs of praise).

The whole thing lasts about an hour.
