Third Sunday of Advent – 12th December ‘21

My dearest Friends in the Lord,

We are so close to Christmas now and we all feel a bit excited, may be also a bit exhausted as we are overwhelmed by the wonder and joy of the Christmas spirit. That said, we are actually still in Advent Season and today is the third Sunday of Advent.

The storms Arwen and Barra have wrought disaster especially in the North. We hope Christmas will be good weather. May be a ‘White Christmas?’ May God bless you and your family, dear ones, and friends at this loveliest of times.

We need Jesus!

God created a lovely world. The universe with millions of constellations and stars…the birds in flight, the smile of a baby, the flower in bloom … the beauty all around us … But, we haven’t been good at caring for the gift of our planet home. And today we hardly mention the Creator God! That is why Christmas reminds us again of who we really are! It brings out the best in each of us. We give and receive gifts. But the greatest gift of Christmas is Jesus Christ, Saviour and Healer! “God so loved the world that he gave his only son so that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3.16)

This Christmas God is telling us two things:
  1. Take care of the Earth your home. All the beauty and resources of the Earth are yours but if you don’t care for it, it will implode, and your life will be at risk. I created the Earth for you to enjoy but also for you to care.
  2. Accept Jesus my Son as your Saviour and Healer. Open your heart to him. It is never too late to follow him the way, the truth, and the life! When you open your hearts and welcome Jesus into your lives, true Christmas happens for you, your dear ones and your planet home, the Earth! Jesus will heal you and  help heal our planet home!
A Prayer for blessings on the diocesan restructuring plans

Almighty God, source of our hope and all good things;
you call us in love to share in the work of creation in making all things new.
Bless our diocese: may we be faithful in our worship;
confident in our discipleship; and joyful in our service;
that, through us, the world may catch a glimpse of the love you have for each one of us,
made known to us in your son, Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

A prayer for our Parish and Church

Abba Father, purify my Parish Community in the precious blood of Jesus
and fill my Church and Parish with your Holy Spirit. Amen.

The Springline Parish – Nine Churches, One Parish, Following Jesus.

Do help us to help you where we can!

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you now and always. Have a lovely Christmas!

With my love and prayer to each one of you,
