A Pastoral Letter from the Parish Priest – Easter Sunday – 4th April 2021
My dearest Friends in the Lord,

Happy Easter! Alleluia! Jesus Christ is Risen from the Dead! Our Hope of Glory!

How much need today more than ever the hope-filled, joy-filled message of Easter!

Saint Paul wrote to the Philippian Church: I want to know Christ, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of sharing in His sufferings, becoming like Him in His death and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.” (Philippians 3:10) Our strong belief in the truth of the Risen Jesus and the power of his resurrection instil in us our strong Christian hope and the spiritual power that helps us overcome death and all evil.

LIVE 10.30 AM ON-LINE PARISH EASTER EUCHARIST ON ZOOM-4TH APRIL

April 11th Second Sunday after Easter

Please note that the recorded Diocesan Service from the Bishops will replace the weekly Parish On-Line Service on that day only.

Our Bishops have encouraged all clergy and ministers to take some time to rest and recuperate after the busy period prior to Easter. In their own words: “As a small contribution that might assist you in some way to do this, we have recorded the Eucharist for the Second Sunday of Easter (11 April)”.

The service, at which Bishop Christopher will preside, will be available on the diocesan website and social media.

A service booklet will also be available

You will receive the link for this service in the weekly updates on 10th April.

Bishop Christopher speaks

In the season of Eastertide Bishop Christopher will provide a weekly video message based around the theme of ‘Let us Dream’.  This will happen from Easter to Pentecost that will be available on the diocesan website and social media.

People need the Lord!

The Church exists to assist you in your spiritual search, to comfort you in your cares and worries, to support you and walk with you. We believe that Jesus is The True Answer to all our questions and problems, the one who can fill the emptiness and restlessness in our hearts, the One who can help us heal our world! Do help us to help you where we can!

Happy Easter to you and your dear ones!

I wish you God’s blessings as you join your family and dear ones to celebrate Easter.

Let the resurrection joy lift us from loneliness and weakness and despair to strength and beauty and happiness in the hope of a new life in the Risen Jesus Christ!

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you now and always. Alleluia! Jesus has risen from the dead! Happy EasterWith my love and prayer to each one of you,

Father Sebastian
