A Pastoral Letter from the Parish Priest – 3rd Sunday of Easter – 18th April 2021
My dearest Friends in the Lord,

We are all quite sad for the passing away of Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh. But he has left behind him a legacy of memories that are inspirational and we thank God for his life and the selfless service he has accomplished in the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth and in the world at large. May God grant him eternal peace and may God bless our dear Queen as she grieves the passing away of her beloved husband and consort.

We seem to be on the track to move out of the lockdown. The non-essential shops are open and other services are allowed to function. Again, we thank God we are where we are after more than a year of unparalleled anxiety and fear. That said we are advised not to let our guard down and to take care and keep safe!

LIVE 10.30 am On-Line Parish Eucharist on ‘zoom’ – Sunday 18th April.

Father Sebastian will lead the service and give a short sermon; we will listen to a short faith story from Mr Jeremy Duggan and we will also to some of our favourite hymns or songs.

Please note that this service is streamed from the Ingham church. If you wish to attend this service physically in church and receive Communion, you can do so. We follow all covid-19 guidelines so as to protect each other and care for each other.

Please download  the Order of service here.

You will receive an invitation to join this short online service if you are in the Parish database. If not please contact the Springline Parish Secretary on springline springlinepcc@btinternet.com

The Community of St Hugh in the Diocese of Lincoln – to deepen your Christian life

The Community of St Hugh is a community called to pray in, with and for our diocese. It may be our initiative, but we believe it was called into being by God. Membership is open to anyone, regardless of age or experience. It invites you to deepen your worship and prayer, discipleship and service. And a former Bishop of Lincoln, Edward King, wrote: “What we need are more Christ-like Christians”

The Community of St Hugh is our response to deepen prayer and become more like Jesus. Community members are encouraged to develop a rule of life based around three headings, and in line with our diocesan priorities of worship, discipleship and service and to develop their own detailed patterns in response to these headings. Each member is encouraged to give time to discerning through prayer how they might respond to each heading. For more information please visit: The Community of St Hugh | Lincoln Diocesan Trust and Board of Finance (anglican.org)
