A Pastoral Letter from the Parish Priest – 7th March 2021
My dearest Friends in the Lord,
I hope you are all well notwithstanding the really cold days we have had this week. Many of you will already have had your vaccination. That is so good! We all hope we can look forward to a normal Summer and rest of the year!
Next Sunday we will celebrate Mothering Sunday. There will be two Parish services, namely, the Parish Family Service led by the Scampton Church at 10.15 am and the Parish Eucharist at 10.30 am, both on line by zoom. You will receive further information about these services by the end of the coming week.
On Mothering Sunday we remember the mothering love of God for us. Blessed Julian of Norwich who, more than all theologians, thoroughly developed the rich theme of the motherhood of God wrote: “Just as God is truly Father,” she writes, “so also is God truly our Mother.”
LIVE 10.30 am on-line Parish Eucharist Service on zoom – Sunday 7th March.
Father Sebastian will lead the service and Mr John Beverley will share stories of faith and we will listen to some favourite hymns or songs.
Please note that this service is streamed from the Ingham church. If you wish to attend this service physically in church and receive Communion, you can do so. We follow all covid-19 guidelines so as to protect each other and care for each other.
You will receive an invitation to join this short on line service if you are in the Parish database. If not please contact the Springline Parish Secretary on springline springlinepcc@btinternet.com

Lent Course Wednesday 10th March 7pm: “Why does God allow suffering?”
The final session on 10th March will deal with the question, “Why does God allow suffering?”, another difficult reality in our lives.

“The Power of Communion: Accessing Miracles Through the Body and Blood of Jesus”…
…is the latest book by the noted spiritual writer and evangelist couple Bill and Beni Johnson. Let me quote the introduction to this book (italics mine): “Miracles wait at the communion table for centuries, the Church has observed the Lord’s Supper as part of corporate worship, instituted by Jesus Himself. But for many Christians today, this tradition can be a confusing ritual. Are we missing something in this ancient sacrament?
“Beni and Bill Johnson—bestselling authors and senior leaders of Bethel Church in Redding, California—had a miraculous revelation while celebrating communion. In The Power of Communion, they reveal how this sacred practice is an often overlooked opportunity to release God’s power in your life! Don’t settle for a lifeless routine. God is supernaturally present in the sacrament of Communion!
“Learn to embrace this prophetic act of remembrance, worship, warfare, and healing as it was always meant to be! Discover practical keys for… Healing: release the healing testimony of Jesus’ blood and body over sickness. Deliverance: announce the eternal victory of Jesus over torment, addiction and bondage. Warfare: shift spiritual atmospheres over you, your family and even world events. Presence: experience new dimensions of God’s glory as you apply Jesus’ victory over your life. There are miracles just waiting to be released that Jesus’ atonement already paid for! Discover The Power of Communion today!”
Bill and Beni are convinced evangelical, charismatic Christians. Their belief in the Holy Communion (The Eucharist, The Mass or The Last Supper) are truly inspiring!
